The Spitfire Butterflies (the other one being round the corner) are the latest installation in Prague by the Czech artist David Cerny. Each consists of a full-size replica Spitfire fuselage (complete with pilot) with giant butterfly wings attached, which slowly move, as does the propellor. Installed in May 2024, they are a tribute to the more than 2000 Czech pilots who flew for the RAF during World War 2.
