Johann Christoph Friedrich Schiller was a German poet, historian, and philosopher. He is considered the most important representative of classical German literature.
He was born in Marbach am Neckar and fled from Württemberg to Mannheim in September 1782 to escape Duke Carl Eugen, as he faced the threat of imprisonment and a ban on writing.
This monument in Stuttgart's city center honors the creator of works such as *The Robbers*, *Sturm und Drang*, and *The Song of the Bell*.
