As the race exits the town of Bergues around six kilometres from the end of the stage, the rider in the middle of the pack in the red kit of the Belgian Lotto team can be seen looking to his left to try to find his team mates, so they can form up the leadout train for their sprinter, Arnaud de Lie. The current race leader, Mathieu van der Poel is easily spotted in the Yellow Jersey.
